On December 5, 2013, The Walt Disney Birthplace Preservation Project launches to restore the original birthplace home of Walt Disney, brother Roy O. Disney, and sister Ruth Disney to its original state. The home was built by Walt's father Elias Disney, occupied by the family until 1906.
