The Great Texas Longhorn Revue was an animatronic show that ran at Six Flags AstroWorld from 1982 until 1999 and it just happened to be heavily inspired by Disney's Country Bear Jamboree. Audio-Animatronic shows began at the Disney Theme Parks and the precedent was set with the Country Bear Jamboree. Americans wanted more family entertainment so Six Flags decided to create their own animatronic musical revue called the Great Texas Longhorn Revue.
