The story of Gideon’s Bakehouse began with only $800 and one employee and has expanded into a cookie lovers’ mecca with the opening of its flagship location at Disney Springs. People have waited hours for the monster-sized cookies, and Gideon’s often uses a virtual queue, so expect a line.

Gideon’s is not new to Orlando, as it has another location and been well-established in the Orlando food scene. These cookies are small-batch but HUGE in size! The nearly half-pound cookies take over 24 hours to create — but you can wash them down with one of Gideon's iced drinks, such as Peanut Butter Iced Coffee. The Bakehouse recently opened its doors, revealing a haunted library-esque vibe filled with books, art and artifacts found during the construction of Gideon’s Bakehouse. According to staff at the bakery, many of the books are first editions!
