On September 29, 2015, Walt Disney World held a grand opening celebration event for Morimoto Asia, the newest restaurant to become part of Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney). In attendance was the Iron Chef himself, Masaharu Morimoto, along with Mickey Mouse.
