At the 2011 D23 Expo, Disney tested a new research project called The Amazing Destini, allowing attending guests to interact with a fully automated Audio-Animatronics figure that had the ability to recognize faces, emotions, and converse fluidly without anyone controlling it behind the scenes. Imagineer Josh Gorin told us all about the technology behind it and what it means for theme parks in the future.
