The Disney theme parks are constantly evolving and changing, so on February 26h, 2018, the iconic Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Walt Disney World closed its doors for a short 3-week refurbishment to change the role of the Redhead animatronic in the auction scene on the ride. The last major change made to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction was in 2006 when characters from the Pirates of the Caribbean Film franchise were added. The ride is set to reopen again at Magic Kingdom with the new scene on March 19th, 2018. So as a final farewell, here’s the original auction scene from Pirates of the Caribbean!
