Yeti or not, here we go! ~Hop~ along as we travel to Asia in Disney Animal Kingdom for an epic expedition.
Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain opened April 7, 2006. Your expedition begins inside a Tibetan-style stone structure at the base of Mount Everest, where you'll pass the booking office of Himalayan Escapes – Tours and Expeditions. You’ll board one of the old, beaten-down Anandapur Rail Service cars headed for Everest’s snowy peak. The train will take you on a ride on safe, rolling hills, before taking you inside the dangerous mountain. Soon enough, you will be faced with a broken track that leads to nowhere — where will the train go next? Backwards might be your only way to safety! Expedition Everest is the highest “mountain” in Walt Disney World Resort and reaches speeds up to 50 mph.
