In today's video we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Disney's Animal Kingdom! It is only fitting that Animal Kingdom opened 20 years ago on Earth Day. We started out the day with a wonderful opening moment which took place inside the Festival of the Lion King theater. It was originally supposed to take place in front of the Tree of Life, but the decision was made to relocate it into the theater because of the high chance of rain. During the opening moment we got to see lots of characters from all around Animal Kingdom including safari Mickey and safari Minnie! We got to hear from the president and vice president of Disney's Animal Kingdom as well as the head Imagineer for Animal Kingdom, Joe Rohde. After the opening ceremony we headed into Pandora the World of Avatar to see the new walk around character in the Pandora Utility Suit which was very impressive to see in person! Next we headed over to Tiffins and Nomad Lounge to get a taste of some of the special food offerings available during the Animal Kingdom 20th Celebration and Party for the Planet. We got to taste the Impossible burger a plant based burger that tastes very similar to a traditional burger! The Impossible burger is available at Nomad Lounge and Restaurantosaurus. Then we headed over to see the all new bird show: Up! A Great Bird Adventure which brings together an educational bird show with the lovable characters of Dug and Russell from the movie UP! We ended out the day with a behind the scenes tour at Rifiki's Planet Watch and a look at all the special merchandise available celebrating the 20th anniversary of Animal Kingdom.
