Part two of my series looking at the complete history of the Disney MGM Studios backstage tours.
Starting off, go back to 1989 for a look at the original Animation tour. This includes a source quality copy of Back to Neverland with Walter Cronkite and Robin Williams, a look at the interior of the building and the viewing gallery, and the overhead Cronkite and Williams screens.
Now, back to the main tram and walking tour for every major change between 1991 and 2014. Plenty of archive photos and video, plus maps and graphics, to see how the routes changed over the years, moving entrances, Mickey Avenue and New York Street opening to the public, a second Walt Disney Theatre, additions to the backlot from houses to theatres and MuppetVision, huge changes with the Animation building extension and Lights Motors Action, what happened and when and how they impacted the tours, the shrinking walking tour and full Backstage Pass plus much more.
At over an hour long, hopefully I've fully documented every major change during the tours 25 years existence.
