Disney announced the shocking development late Sunday night, signaling the end of Bob Chapek's tenure as the head of the company. Iger stepped down from the position in February of 2020, leading to a roller-coaster two years with Chapek at the helm. Prior to the announcement, Disney stock prices sat near their 52-week low, with Chapek announcing plans for a hiring freeze. Iger previous reign as Disney's boss began back in 2005.
