~Leap~ along as we ride the Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland Park and highlight 9 things you should know before you ride!
~Hop~ into your bobsled for an exciting trip through the Swiss Alps (0:23). Thrilling drops await you on this ride, and so does the Abominable Snowman! ~Tadpoles~ must be at least 42 inches tall to ride Matterhorn Bobsleds (0:35). Because the ride is so popular, we recommend riding first thing in the morning or at the end of the day (0:48). Each bobsled vehicle has 6 rows and seats 1 person per row (1:00). If you are tall, sit in the middle or back for more legroom. The Matterhorn structure is 147 feet tall, which is 100 times smaller than the real Matterhorn. Have you heard the rumor about the basketball court inside the structure? It’s true! The top of the mountain has a small break room for cast members, complete with a basketball hoop and net (1:31). The Matterhorn Bobsleds opened on June 14, 1959 (1:37), and the attraction was the first tubular coaster in the world. It is still a unique attraction, as no other Disney theme park has it. We think it’s a yodel of fun! 🏔
Leap’s ~Hopful~ Tips:
~ Ride first thing in the morning, last thing in the evening or with a FASTPASS
~ Use the Single Rider line if your group can split up
~ Sit in the middle or back of the bobsled for more legroom
~ Skip the ride if you have back problems
